Wow - a player with a sooooo massive 13 posts deriding a player with only 5 posts - you couldnt make it up
(and more than half of those 13 posts are in this thread)

Firstly according to you Im talking nonsense - then you agree with me - please try to engage brain before posting - it really does help for consistency

Secondly your "solution" is not a solution - its a pacifier - oh dear the nasty inno has taken away my gold trading - please give me some other freebies

Lastly if I was an admin I would be justifying this latest move not saying that Inno have only made one improvement to the game since before WW started - (adding BP for supporting players). Everything else has just been to generate more and more and more gold

The recent change log indicates the following--
"Minimum values of gold trade have been changed: Now you have to make a minimum offer of 50 Gold and 2000 resources."

However, that is not what is actually taking place. Instead, the minimum value of gold is 50, and the maximum resources allowed to trade is 2000. For example, I am not able to trade 15000 rock for 50 gold. I can only trade 0-2000 resources for 50 gold.

Please review this post and advise when the gold trading system will be fixed. Thanks.

What I am trying to explain to you is that either the statement you wrote in the changelog is incorrect, or the trading system is not working properly. Do you agree with this statement?

Again, the minimum value of gold is 50, and the maximum resources allowed to trade is 2000. Emphasis on the word maximum versus minimum. When trading for gold the maximum resources you can spend is 2000. Period. End of story. You can trade 2000 resources for 50 gold. You can trade 2000 resources for 100 gold. You can trade 2000 resources for any amount of gold over 50. However, you can not trade more than 2000 resources for 50 gold. 2000 is the maximum, not the minimum.

Furthermore, you just ruined the in-game economy. As a result, you will make less money. Traditionally, resources were traded at a ratio of 3000 for 10 gold (300:1). Now they can be traded at 2000 for 50 gold (40:1). Resources simply are not worth that much gold.

I give it about 2 weeks until you change it again. I believe that you will come to realize that people like me will no longer buy gold to purchase resources. Enjoy!

Here is the response I received. At least the changelog and in-game experience are one and the same now. Unfortunately, if this policy is here to stay, I regret to inform you that this will likely be my last server (if I make it to the end).

I have one question for anyone affiliated with inno/grep: Why did you change the gold trading policy?

I have checked with senior moderators. They have indicated that there was a wording issue in the changelog which has been corrected.

I need the names of the programmers who made this modification. I am going to be submitting a letter to the corporate offices.

Also I stand by my previous comments:

It is highly unusual that multiple people with less than five forum posts after three years in support of the debacle and management. Maybe it is legit but it seems suspicious to me...LOL.

Look at this screenshot, you think that's a good update?? I'm sure there are even a lot more players who want gold but haven't made any offers because they know they are not going to get any. 81 pages!! It's like there was no gold trading anymore.

All that screenshot proves is that more people are trying to get your gold. I have seen more new names on the sellers list than I have ever seen before.

Oh and also, people are trying to trade resources for resources again.

My question is why even make this update? What was the point of gold trading? Feels like the whole hero world as a reward for winning WW thing. Just never really panned out and now we're left with an annoying feature like instant buy.

For me this is a bit like WW 2.0 only nobody gets an award for winning the gold whore olympics.

In all seriousness there does seem to be some valid points both for and against, here's what I've seen.

For:

1- Slow gold wallers down to make a more balanced game,
2- Offer a standard market system so it's not over abused.

Against:

1- Stagnant markets
2- Should have been brought into the beginning of the next world and not mid game.
3- None goldies tend to lose interest due to the new necessity of premium features.

The way I see it is people's adaptability to change is always a tough one, I'm not saying this is the right or wrong way to balance the game but I am saying I personally feel it shouldn't have been implemented mid game.

im not sure about that, i think your higher up already think ahead... and thats why they implement that thing now and not in the next world... because if they do implement it only in their next world up to be... well... there will probably be less player from the last world and still have to gamble with the slim chance there will be new player playing Grep in that world... especialy if they heard word about the world before that one... thats why they make it equal in all of their Grep world... "Wise move... but... well..."

Inno has ways to make sure people come back. They just release a world not many can say no to. 3/3 conq no morale. :p

2 just feels too slow with instant buy now. I don't want to go beyond what I basically do in terms of gold to get a decent start on 2 speed servers.
