Is there a way to take coins out of the cave once they are put in there, or is it that once they are in, they are always in there?

Sea storm is a spell that can be used on an attack that is incoming to your city. It will kill 10-30% of the attacking ships (will not kill transport ships)

How do you actually use a sea storm?

Hover your mouse over the troop movements icon, move down until you get to the attack you want to cast on and click on it. Click on the tab of the window that pops up that says "Spells", then it will show you all the spells. Click sea storm and you will get the report of how many ships you killed.

I am using an ipad and I can change my city name on it. Dunno if something is different with the kindle or other tablets.

do not see a link in game to list of alliances. the link to alliance forum is disabled in the game

Alliances are in the rankings section. Third tab from the left. Ocean alliances are the one just to the right of it.

The alliance forum is disabled because you have no alliance. No alliance=no way to access an alliance forum.

If I am being attacked and don't want specific units (hoplites for example) to participate in the defense can I deploy them somewhere else somehow so I don't lose them?

yes you can. Support a city near you before the attack lands with the units you don't want in the attack (like slingers)

I have a question about colonization. Assume a player has cities A, B, C, D, E, F. If city A sends out a CS to an anchor point, and it lands and the colonization clock starts, what happens to that colonization if the player loses city A before the colonization clock completes? Does the colonization continue, or does it end when the city falls?

When a large player ghosts and he has troops stationed in other cities, do those troops vanish or linger?

If you have the tower and your wall falls below level 20, do the tower's effect no longer trigger?

The towers effect does still stand (if I'm correct)
