Evening,
We are currently evaluating our in game standard operating procedure regarding inappropriate content in the game. Our goal is to instruct the mods towards a more lenient interpretation of the rules when it comes to content in-game. We are aware that there are several players unhappy with the current interpretation of the guidelines, and we will work to change/eliminate that perception.
I have already personally held a meeting with the managers of our In-Game team. Starting immediately we will no longer be moderating alliance tags, unless they contain links or references to content such as porn, 18+ websites, or if they are advertisements. Additionally, we have addressed several alliance names through out multiple worlds to determine if we should be moderating those specific names. If you wish to check if an alliance/player/town name is appropriate, you are always welcome to contact support.
In the immediate future, we will be addressing the punishment procedure to account for content going forward. In the mean time we have asked moderators to contact a senior support member before placing a punishment if they are at all unclear about the name. Hopefully this will ease some of the pressure you have been feeling from the mod team recently.
Regards,
CrimsonBlue
