Sending resources to another city?

If I have more than one city, can I send resources from one to the other? How do I do this? It occurred to me I could offer 1500 silver in one city's marketplace for a pittance, and then accept the offer in the other, but that seems an awfully convoluted way to get silver from A to B. Is this possible?

Yes, it's possible to trade from one of your cities to another.
If you're on-island, you need a market at least level 1 (you can also trade to other players directly on-island with a lvl 1 market)
For overseas trading, you need a market at least level 5.
---With a level 5 market, you can also trade to other players directly overseas.
