Revolt attack query

If a revolt attack is sent by sea, with no flying units assisting, is the revolt suppose to be successful even if all of the escorting LS are sunk leaving only transport ships? Can transport ships get past biremes on their own?

As you may have guessed this happened to me. In my opinion if all of the navy warships (LS) are destroyed, and there are significant biremes left over, then the transports should not be allowed to deliver troops to shore.

Was the attack a breakthrough attack? In that chase it will allow your troops to enter land when the harbor isn't clear.

As charl said it could have been a break through. Make sure none of them were ANY flyers at all. Also I have seen it in some cases where theres maybe just a few birs left and only part of the transports get in.

No, it was a revolt attack. 143 birs left over after attack. Absolutely no flying units... Here, I'll post the report for you.

I don't understand how that many troops makes it to shore with 143 birs left in the harbor.

This happens when the LS kills some of the biremes in the city. The lower the biremes, the more transports gets through. It's been this way for a long time. :p

Well, I must admit that's not the answer I was hoping for, but thank you for the reply. I will adjust my defensive plan to compensate.

elp! I do not get an option for a revolt attack. I have researched conquest/revolt, and have a Colony ship built, but I cannot launch the revolt attack. Can someone walk me through the process?

What world are you playing on? Revolt is only active on revolt worlds. If conquest was a research option, you are not on a revolt world.

And if you are on conquest, just sending the CS with the attack sets it as a conquest attack.
