The odds that he replaced the units are pretty low considering the number of attacks that he has been fielding.
This is an assumption. He very well may have.
with that many hits, it seems unlikely that this guy is rebuilding his troops
This is an assumption. He very well may have. It only took one bireme to kill all your entire attack.
it makes no sense that the battle report didn't give any information at all.
If you do not clear enemy troops, it does not display them or the BP you earned. That is how the game works.
and YES, i insist that ALWAYS in the past you get BP for lost units. i am not sure all the circumstances but whenever i have lost before i have gotten BP for my lost units. i don't always win.
You are wrong. You get ABP for the population that you kill from an enemy. It is non-dependent on what you lose. You also do not get ABP for killing militia. This is a game mechanic, their is no denying it.
but like i said before. this just seems to be a place to whine and not get any assistance in something wrong in the game. i will remember that in future.
Submit a support ticket how I told you, and an in-game mod can check out the reports. They will be able to give you a definite answer.
I have noticed that you get BP for units you lose when you lose in a conflict.
Look above on my comments on ABP. It goes by the population of the enemy units you kill. Check any of your previous reports to confirm, but remember militia are the on exception.
Always before it shows the ships if you lose ships and you kill some of his ships. It just doesn't show the land units because you never made it that far. This is different. I am not new to this game, I have been playing it for months. I have 9 cities. Do not treat me like a noob.
We are not judging your experience, we are simply telling you (from our own experience). Here is a report of mine, from today. Look past the fact that I failed epicly, and see the point I am making haha. I can't see the navy units because I did not win the navel battle.

Here is one from some time ago, before the most recent update. Same thing.
