Masters of the World- The Union

In what feels like the inevitable outcome, The Union has now become the Masters of the World. There was a race to finish the wonder between us and the number 2 alliance but we started the build first and our players really crushed the the accelerations. There was a ton of time taken off and we won handily.

Once again the membership came through, as they have since day one. I'm proud to say that no other alliance could match the dedication, perseverance and skill. There are many other talented players in the world and I wish them all luck on their next worlds but this chapter has been closed. We will play out the story until the end.

Don't break you arm patting yourself on the bat. Your not that "skilled".

What you did was front run from the beginning of the world by all coming in together on day one. While that is a brilliant strategy if you have 49 troll friends, its hardly skill. You needed a team effort from your jock holders in Night Warriors and 2 defectors to win.

You leaped out to a huge lead and never trailed in the game. Why not mention that you had 1000+ more cities than the number 2 alliance. Skill? You didn't do jack on your own. You needed the help of clear idiots in Night Warriors to win both the world and the crown.

For all reading this post, please know that if you join a world a month or more after the fact a group of players that call themselves The Union likely started minute one and day one all together screwing all others in the world from the beginning. Just wait until another world and NEVER JOIN A WORLD more than 1 week after it start. Too many turds living their parents basement delivering pizzas part time.

Get a grip troll. You are not that great. You just proved you are a bigger troll than anyone else. Not skill.

Toodles.

This is contradictory... I wonder how we got 1000+ more cities :)

We have fought and won more major wars than anyone else on this server. We easily deserve this win. If you can't remember TU's war history, take a gander at my profile in Eta, this should enlighten you. The info is located just southeast of the crown next to my name.

When I joined this world about 2 years ago you guys where dominating already the only major was that you guys fought that I remember as even was You guys vs. Rising Shadow or something in 64 and you guys beating a group of guys called Apokalyptik Warlords. I don't play this world anymore but I remember Tyler very well, You guys won and yes you had a start that worked in your favor but you guys also have a few players that started in 75/74 just like ALL IN now SBC had 45/44 players. NW had players who started in 46/56/66 I am suptised they aren't complaining about an unfair start also. But Union kind of had the world in a gift basket ever since The Silence disintegrated

The unfair start statement sounds like a bunch of complaining. Most worlds are won from the rim. We won holding 6 core oceans being virtually surrounded on every front. The biggest war SBC fought in was against NW which no winner was determined, this is without our interference. We took down Apocalypse Warlords and Fatal Nemesis who were giving us a run for our money (two alliances from the rim). We put in more time and effort than any other alliance and went through the world with targets on our backs.

Spives. You make me laugh. Your #72 in the world. I'm #33 and I've been giving away cities after taking them for months.

There is no doubt your groups initial head start on everyone in ETA made you nearly unbeatable. Again, many in my alliance started 2 months or more after the world opened and you guys had already been growing for 2 months.

Everything you guys did is well within the rules but to claim your skill was better than everyone else is comical. You won the world because you were a part of a huge group of trolls called The Union. Coming in all together when a world opens is not skill. Perhaps dedication to a browser game but not skill. I had nearly 3 times as many ABP than you. I had about 8 times as many DBP than you. Again, don't hurt yourself breaking your hands applauding such great skill. You simply gamed the system joining in mass right off the bat. Congratulations on that. Also, you never had the balls to attack Night Warriors either. That is pretty funny. They sat on your southern border and just cupped your nuts giving you the win. Even with your big advantage, you still got beat on 2 WWs and nearly 3 by us. Then you had to bribe weak players to break our wonders since you couldn't break them with a battle.

Again, full warning to those that join worlds with The Union as an alliance. They are uuber trolls and you will find that they game the system. Do yourself a favor and bail on that world and go to another as these super trolls rely on shady initial tactics to win. Me, I'm going to join a world with The Union when one opens. We'll be bringing our own smaller but better group of Union busters. Don't count on a cake walk if we get in on day one like you guys. We'll have your ars beat and you know it. o.o

I don't think anyone said what TU did was unfair...shady at times, but I wouldn't say unfair. The pure numbers, which has a lot to do with starting from day one, certainly gave you all a big advantage. I don't see a reason to give you a hard time about that, that is the best way to get started if the goal is to play a whole server out and win. But like Scott said, that hardly equates to better skill. Its easier to win major wars when you have overwhelming numbers. Look bottom line is you guys certainly got the first 4 wonders, but I'd hardly start bragging about getting all 7 and claiming skill when it wasn't done through skill. You got two people to switch sides, one already admitted it was because he simply didn't like one of our people. The other, who knows but that isn't a skill. Could you have taken one of NW's cities on your own on their WW island? Maybe, but again no sign of skill was used one of their top players just simply (unexpectedly) decided to go independent? That is either total blind luck, or once again some back door dealings were made. Again, nothing unfair or against the rules etc to win that way but I'd hardly call that skill. Perhaps it was the fact that SBC had shown the best skill at defending (by proof of the DBP we had as well as going by the "fighter" category) that you guys realized that you really had no way of beating us to all 7 through an actual battle (using skill).

Congrats on winning, but based on quite a few battle reports we've seen from some of your top members I'd say skill wasn't universal (I know we certainly enjoyed defending again bireme nukes and/or OLU nukes missing LS escorts).

Scot you have misstated the entire situation. Yes TU came into this world, with a small group. Others, like myself did not join from day one and did not start initially in TU. We came together through a pact or through wars. We fought against other players that started early on. None of those that battled with us stood for very long. We consist now of players that started early, started late and came back at a later point after leaving. We lost a ton of great players through our time here, including our original founder, but we kept a core philosophy for playing the game even as the member of the alliance came and went as life dictated. 90% of the alliance is made of players that did not come to Eta as TU and did not start on day 1. Many started early and were recruited but many came in later and joined the alliance later. Yes, we had 1000 more cities, the overwhelming majority of those were conquered from other players. SBC has players that started from day one as well. You guys should have done more, there was time for it.

Your posts only show you to be the bitter, childish troll. Please go on to your new world. You had no effect on the outcome of this world. You tried to push NW to war with us, they wouldn't then you abandoned them to push SBC to war with us. You did this all from a position off of our front lines. So you were pushing others to fight the real battles, in true troll form. Instead of complaining you should have done more to change the situation. Too late. Get better.

You players got many of those DBPs defending and often losing cities. They they would brag about opening up city slots. Well .. slots can't donate to your wonders.

Everyone knows the mechanics of the game at this point. They favor defense. Defense can be stacked while offense has to break those stacks. If you have half a brain you will earn nice DBP while defending. But if you get all that DBP and still lose the city, it still needs to be replaced. Your city count needs to go up, so you can attack better, eliminate a possible threatening city and not have to constantly be on the defensive.

Ask your member Malas about defending TU attacks ... he'll let you know how they work.

@rjk82

a) I never lost a city I wanted. I literally gave cities away to get to the fight.
b) Never[/B] lost a city to Arc, Blue, or any of the top players. Gave them to insignificant players in 36 and 46 that would not factor in the end game if I had to so I could move towards the fight.
c) Why aren't you talking about ABP and city takeovers. Hmmm. Maybe because your rank is garbage there too? Yep. Checked. Exactly the case. Your ABP stinks.

I have respect for a few players in The Union. Warboy, Bayou Brit and well that is really it. Those two brought it and fought hard.

Candy arses like Arcalas, Blue56001, Black Death 2, and Jake2525 were the reason you won the crown. I'm not sure how much you paid them but it must have been a lot to self destruct themselves lol. Sure they hated me. Why because when I left it was because they lost any chance of beating you guys. Why? I opened the flood gates of those that wanted to fight for a win when I found out they were playing to help you, The Union, win. Arc promised to take all my cities if I left. Yeah. Never took one. Got his ass kicked each time he tried.

The bottom line is you guys won with good strategy by coming in early and establishing a dominant alliance from the beginning with your jock sniffers (Night Losers) watching your southern flank happy to take a loss.

@scot I was adressing rafa with DBP reference. He spoke about DBP so I addressed it.

I never saw your name come up on a TU attack report. If you did, it was of no significance. You played this world till this end point, but you were never in the real game. No one in your alliance tried to do anything to stop us from winning. No attacks into our borders to attempt to disrupt our wonders. Nothing that could do anything to earn a win. Instead you whine here, after the fact.

When you operate as part of a cohesive team, at times you sacrifice individual numbers. We attacked our strategic targets. When I was tasked to take a few SBC cities as part of our strategy I did, with mostly paltry resistance. Everyone played a role. Your "super terrific" numbers were not gained fighting the winners of the world. Each example you give is all me, me, me, I, I, I. I'm sure you can't understand the big picture, putting up good numbers in a loss is just that, a loss. You had time to try to take the fight to us. You never did in any significant way. Its game over.

First. I started 2 months after this world opened. Second. The garbage pile Night Warriors were supposed to attack you as I was relegated to south 46 to start unlike you trolls who all invited each other right next to each other, I was constantly surrounded by enemies. Many cities I took were on islands with Arc, Blue, Shep ...

Yes it is ashamed that we did not get to tangle. The freaking concept was to push north from all parts while I was at Night Losers. Funny that those on the eastern side couldn't find a reason to attack you. I was busy moving from 46 to 33 doing my part of pushing. No one pushed you because your stooges were nothing but a pile of garbage. Yep, good ole Night Losers.

So exactly what were your doing in the war game if you were not fighting? Oh that's right, you just waited your enemies out until they quit in your oceans leaving you no adversaries. Remember that you started first.

This could go on forever. You will never convince me that you did anything special to win and I will never convince you that your not the greatest players in Grepolis history. Like I said, we can table this discussion until we hop on the same serve on day one and I will be sure to plant myself as close to your weak arses as possible.

Allow me to stay on the server? That's laughable. If you are referring to Cerstupidus, he banned himself for life by bribing players in a mass mail. He sent it to all but me. Such irony. I was the only one that COULD NOT report him. He was a horrible player as well so who cares.

See you two dummies in 2015 January. 1st speed 2 world that opens is where you need to be. I would very much like an invite from you so I can plant right next to you. Do that and see. I will bring my group to battle your Union nose to nose and let the best team win.

Whats interesting is that The Union didn't win because we were the first on the server.... you should read the top 12 sticky in this forum from the onset of the server.

We won because we stuck together from start to finish. No other alliance on the server did that. They bickered internally and caused their alliances to disband, reband, disband, reband, etc..., just like you are doing right now, which is why you and your many alliances that I am sure you were part of failed to win.

Don't get me wrong, we certainly did our own share of bickering within our alliance, but most of us were mature enough to just let it go for the betterment of the alliance.

That's what you should do right now and not prove me right... LET IT GO... You lost.

Agreed 100%. TU started strong but there were other stronger alliances. There were also lots of people fighting TU from early in the game and like most successful military empires they absorbed the best of the enemies they had defeated. This posed a lot of challenges for leadership and organization, absorbing big egos of players who had been alliance leaders themselves. To the credit of all of TU's leadership (which itself evolved as the alliance grew) and it's membership we pushed aside those big egos to fight for a common goal. We had strategists like you wouldn't believe and we had soldiers ready to act on those strategies.

None of that was unfair. It was playing the game and playing it well. I was a TU enemy for a long stretch. In fairness, whether NW gave us an assist at the end or not we would have won anyway. The other alliances had great players too but what prevented them from mounting a serious challenge at the end was an inability to get along. Those big egos kill alliances unless they can be harnessed with great leadership and organization. This thread is the best evidence I could present of the ill-will unharnessed egos have - I don't care who said what and who is right or wrong - the point is that conflict is best had on the battlefield and not within an alliance. TU was the only alliance that stayed strong on this key attribute.

Finally, as to the defection from SBC to TU.......Matt was a TU player. It might well have been my fault in part why he was asked to join the SBC predecessor as part of reorganizing the alliance and bringing in some new members such as myself. Matt deserved the Crown for TU more than I do.

I don't know you Scot and never had any battles with you. I'm sure you're a very skilled player but to win the world takes more than just skilled players. Good luck to you in the future and hope to see you in other worlds.

You guys can claim Matt B was TU member and all that, but you kicked him out at a minimum 6 months ago but I bet it was longer. Lightertoss gave his explanation for switching sides, I don't like it but at least he was honest to come out and give his case and reasoning. The reality though is they weren't the only ones approached to switch and become traitors. I know for a fact (as I've seen the PM, as has the rest of our leadership) that Pot Pie recruited at least one other. I would bet there was more as well. All is fair in war, but the fact that you guys were resorting to those type of tactics just shows you know that you could have won full out (meaning all 7 wonders) on your own.

your typo at the end is actually correct - "...just shows you know that you could have won full out on your own."
Yes, we could have. Easily. Every major conflict we have been involved with has resulted in TU getting stronger. The Indies stacked their defenses high, much higher than you guys can. We took them out. They went into VM.......wonder why? they were being hit all the time and there were a few days where we went all out on them. Sure we lost a lot of ls and OLU but that's what they're for. See the big difference is that we don't mind losing our troops and ships and rebuilding. We itch for a fight. The other alliances seemed to fight when they had to. TU fought as a way of playing.

So you all can say what you want about how unfair it all is......the victims song doesn't hold as people get very tired of excuses. Life isn't fair either dude. Get used to it and we'll look forward to dominating you again should we see you in another world.

Look folks. ETA is over. TU won both the crown and the certificate for the first to 4 WWs. Life is not fair indeed. This was just a game.

As I said earlier, you won because NW are a bunch of pansies. I do want to thank you for not inviting them and rather taking in the sorrier players in the north.

Just knowing that you candy asses couldn't do it without their help then you rewarded them with .... eh ... nothing lol.

Look at the facts. Your alliance started earlier than most everyone so stop pretending you didn't For gosh sake man, you were 50% bigger than us and NW too and still couldn't get it done on your own. You needed help. Good for you for being smart enough to know you would have lost if we made it a true 3 way war.

Alas it is over. See you in January 2015. I'll be looking for you. No headstarts this time.
