How is this being done???

We are at war with a certain alliance. They send multiple 1 troop attacks to enemy cities then turn around and send out large attacks from the same city. For example:

Harry's City of the Hazer alliance sends out 1 archer attacks to

Sal's City
Larry's City
Jacob's City

all landing about the same time

Then, sends out 500+ slingers to Larry's city from Harry's City.

Yes, they are pain in the butt attacks designed to get the defense to use up their favor on lame attacks.

When Sal's City wants to try the same thing on Harry's City they get "Attacking troops must consist of x number of troops."

How is Harry's City getting around this?

Only plausible explanation is that the attacking player uses a lot of gold to finish the recruitment of his slingers instantly, while receiving resources from his alliance mates to pay for the recruitment of these slingers :)

I don't see how else it could be done, but there might be another explanation I haven't thought about.

I think the player is asking how one player is allowed to attack with only one troop, but others have to attack with the mandated minimum. I have experienced similar things myself. :s

Exactly, I have spy and attack reports. It doesn't make sense. Support says that newly acquired cities can do this but this player is not attacking from a newly acquired city

The min attack amount is based on the amount of population used by military.

The more troops/boats are in a city, the higher the min attack amount will be.

No. The question is "How is Harry's city getting around this?". And I answered :)

Let me rephrase my answer.

As MischievousPixie said, the bigger your army (both naval and land units), the bigger the attacks you have to send. To get around this the attacker launches 1 slinger attacks while he has no troops in his city. Then he receives massive amounts of resources from his alliance/his other cities. He golds up 500 slingers and he can send bigger attacks immediately after those 1 slinger attacks.

That's an expensive way of doing it, but I guess some are more committed to this game than others :p

Thank you for your help. I contacted support and their answer was "maybe their farm is too small." I had received another similar attack and immediately spied on the city. The city was extensively developed; but no troops. No resources either.

I had come to the conclusion that Killman stated earlier. I agree about the level of dedication to the game. We know that these players are from Eastern Europe, and I have seen them gold up multiple nukes in the same series of attacks. This is an abuse of gold that is ridiculous. I would hate to see how much they spend.

Dang.. That player must be spending tons of gold just to pop up 500 slingers at once, not to mention send unlimited resources to do so as well. Dedication and determination right there.

It is an expensive way to troll that's for sure. I guess it could also be possible they had a slinger badge from a recent event or saved from a previous one, popped it, and waited until there was a few mins left on the hourly tick before sending a single unit attack then Golding a bunch when the badge churns over a fresh batch. But, even still, best badge I have seen/had was 80 units per hour so probably not much help there I guess.

Ive seen a full 2800 strong sling nuke pumped out from the same city whose population I destroyed at my wall previously, come banging at my door no more than 1 hour later. Granted it was effective, cleaned me out, worth its weight in gold for them. But I wasn't committed enough to gold that much dlu in return
