Democritus doesn't seem to work in my city. I've used about 10 timed bonuses (e.g. reinforcements, improved attack/defense, happiness/coto spells) and the effects were never doubled (not even once). Am I just super lucky, or is there something I'm missing about how the hero effect works?

No, he's well and alive. But even if he was dead, his effect should still work, right?

If the hero is dead, the effect doesn't work.

Oh didn't know that, thanks for the information.

I'm 100% sure he's alive though. Could there be any other reason why his effect isnt working?

I'm thinking he's probably a low level, which is why you're so unlucky.

Even if he is leveled to 20 it is still only a 60% chance of doubling. Mine is at 20. I have had him double 10-15 times in a row and then not double for 5-6 times in a row. It's a crap shoot with him.
