Shared Connection question

Do you still have to activate a shared connection when you made the account you was not sharing one?
To word it better this is whats happening I am currently playing on a server(with my friend) with no shared connection or IP or whatever it is called as of right now but i am soon to move back to a place where my friend will be and we will be sharing the same (router/IP/ internet connection or whichever it is called) with my friend Which is also on the same server right now. will this conflict with the rules and cause me to activate a connection?

Excuse my grammar and any other mistakes i might have made.

If you are sharing a connection with another player, you must declare the it regardless of when and where you started if you both play the same game world.
