REPORTS problem

For about a week now I've had a (1) showing up for reports. Even though everything is read. Today I'm up to (2) even though everything is read.

Please tell me how to fix this it's annoying and I do not want a gradually increasing message count when there's nothing to read.

Yes, I have restarted my browser
Yes, I have restarted my computer
Yes, I have cleared my browser history including cookies

This has happened occasionally for me, but never for a period of a week or longer. It's always just gone away.

That has happened to me too. It stopped when I deleted every report. Maybe that would work.
