Recent Survey / Reinforcements

So, i was happy to participate in the game's recent survey asking for feed back. i was hoping to share one detail that im not a huge fan of but did not see the opportunity to do so in that particular survey. i feel that the "reinforcements" are a bit of.....i dont want to say sham... maybe a "jip"? When you earn those reinforcement chips (ie: your city will receive 4 chariots for the next 4 hours), i feel that those units should not count against or use up your free population. i mean i guess i appreciate that you can "acquire the units" wo having to use your resources for training and training time. Yet i still feel like the fact that the units are still actually taken from your free pop, greatly hinders you. in one sense it hinders your building orders ie i currently can not construct another colony ship bc my free pop is down toi like 20 ppl. i have been trying to kill off some units to get free pop back but even that is taking me a good amount of time to do. i wont bore you by giving a 15 minute argumentative speech lol im sure you guys / girls are smart enough to see what lines of logic my point would continue to go down....

just a thought. love the game and i still have TONS to learn (like how to successfully start revolts, launch attacks etc.)....can you recomend some links i can go to for tutorials for such things?

Jacob

BTW...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Hi Roachicus welcome to the Grepolis community : )

Learning about the game and how to win with your alliance and have fun at the same time is arguably one of the best aspects of the game. Here are some websites that I found to be very helpful in learning and getting better at the game. My top recommendations are in order of quality:

1.) http://grepolis-pro.blogspot.co.uk/ probably one of the BEST guides I have come across.

2.) https://en.forum.grepolis.com/index.php?threads/the-guide-to-grepolis-updated.5666/ Excellent overall guide very detailed

3.) https://en.forum.grepolis.com/index.php?threads/hagops-grepolis-simplified.34564/

Good Luck : )

If the "reinforcement" units don't count against free population, you could end up with super-cities. Over time, your quest units could easily double number of units owned by a city, and free up your farm population for other things while your quest population provides protection. It's even worse if you include some of the nightly bonuses. This would throw off what little balance there is.

You don't need to use the quest results immediately. You can save the quest results in your inventory for use later, or discard the ones you don't really care about for more important ones.

And your alliance should be more than happy to help you free up the population spaces you need to build another CS.
