Personally I think soul should be thanking Lee Sin, this world; this awfully slow world is still in it's infant stages so showing Soul he shouldn't lead poorly and just throw privileges to each and every stranger that asks for it was a good thing. It's like starting a company then handing over CEO rights to each person you hired...
At this point in the game, there should be no reason to get bent over it. It's not like it ruined your place in a war or risked any of your members....there's only like 10 people who have even gotten more than 1 city so far.
