Lamia mildly unpleasant banter thread!

Wow, easily the most defense I have ever seen on any server. The dbp numbers speak for themselves, but for anyone reading... Two cities were stacked with 30-40K BR a piece, 5k triremes, and 150-200K pop worth of defensive land units, a piece. Idk how you managed to convince so many players to go defensive, but it looks like the entire alliance gained defensive points... Participation to the very end.

How many attack x's were there? I honestly don't know where all those units came from... I thought for sure the first stacked city was going to be a major weak spot. Anyways as said before, hats off to those involved... attacking and defending.

I second the words of Spives.

hats off to those involved... attacking and defending,

You guys have turtled well so congratulations. I have won various worlds and have never seen such high defensive amounts.

I know this is the 'lets rip into each other' thread but actually I mean my words - you guys have done a sterling job defending those Wonders.

"Do you even wonder?" hehe liked that one, and ofcourse in CAPS. Good fight guys, on both sides!

Yes it was a welcome change of pace to see that much action.

Still more to come I am sure.

Also, Innogames may need to update the programming for the reports. I don't think it was designed to display 6 digit troop numbers.

We couldn't see how many swordsman were in the city once it surpassed 100k.

I can honestly say I've never been so impressed with people in this game as I was for that twenty-four hour span. If you look up and down the CV roster, every player had dbp yesterday and that doesn't even include the guys/gals in Vig, Vig II, TCC, VV and FD.

On the other side of the coin, I gained a lot of respect for some TSF/TMN people yesterday. I know at one point Clint had about 500 incoming attacks. You guys really brought it and should be proud of such a unified effort. You had players big and small pitch in and all deserve credit. Obviously this game gives virtually every advantage to the defender and, coupled with the extraordinarily long TTs, the deck was stacked against you in a sense.

However, this is the "mildly unpleasant banter" thread and I would be remiss if I didn't point out that while yesterday was probably the biggest fight most of us have been involved in here on Lamia, Cranky posted a paltry 480 abp. In the midst of the fight that could have given his alliance the inside track to win the server, he just elected not to show up. That's the type of leadership we all respect.

I have to say... I was curious as to a few things myself...

Raviger, presumed leader of KoTR, insists on building their own wonders instead of helping with their newly merged (and obviously superior) sister alliance's. Then he compounds this lapse in judgement by starting the construction on islands that are not completely occupied. Clint manages to land a CS and then the hilarity ensues. It takes well over 350+ attacks to clear roughly 5k triremes and 9k biremes (if you can call unescorted troops an attack?), while Raviger holds his own LS nukes back and then uses them on a failed attempt to capture a random city in 55. Which everyone can agree is of absolute minimal strategic relevance in comparison to the wonder island.

That just made me chuckle a bit...

I'm pretty sure everyone is wondering what exactly their plan was there... Time to break out my darts

Rumors running rampant that Cranky is on the verge of ghosting...

Well that would definitely be the icing on the cake.

Crank---- Say it aint so!

We want to come over to 65 and play. I know you saw the recent additions near your wonder islands. I gave the city I took from Spartacus to Sears which is bad news for the Mamluk family over there...

Well rumors are just the same as lies with you guys. I have no intent on leaving this world until my team makes that decision.

Besides this is the trash talking thread ... you talk trash and I give you trash right back. :) Oh and thank you for the message in game it just confirmed what I was thinking regarding you.
BTW still large and in charge over here. Nice to see you guys had so little confidence in beating TSF and TMN that you had to merge. Well like every merger you have have done KZ, this will fail as well.

When you get your foot out of your mouth, come back with some good material and lets hash out why you are 0-10 in your grepolis career. It has to be everyone else's fault. We know that much for sure.

I apologize Chari ... to answer the charge that I'm close to Ghosting that is yet another baseless tale that the former TC like to tell. I'm here until the rest of my alliance says it is time to go. I don't get why you guys wish to continue this when the game for the Laurels is over.

Looks like it won't be the clean sweep that the TC guys thought it would be.

Tip of the hat to former Vig leadership for the hard work here ... you really didn't need the TC guys at all and would have gotten to 4 on your own

0-10? no idea what you are talking about here , keep in mind this is my 4th nik ... more fiction I assume and I have yet to say anything about any reason why we lost here and I won't. Unlike you I suspect if the shoe was on the other foot

Congrats on the wonder! I, for one, am a little excited for what is left to come. While we know that the story you want to believe is that we thought we would cruise to 7 wonders and you heroically squashed those plans, it simply is not true. We never felt that we'd take all seven. The concern was that we may have to take a wonder from an alliance that can fight (TSF). Thankfully, you guys in The Paper Tiger Nation took one. Now those of us in the south or west have a reason to migrate eastward.

If you're looking for a reason why you fell behind, look no further than the closest mirror. You see, we were struggling to keep up on favor drops with you pushing statue and TSF pushing both the temple and gardens. When you stopped pushing the statue, we were able to divert all favor drops to the temple and then garden and surge back in front. I can't thank you enough. The statue was the first wonder we had that hit level 9, but it was the third to reach level 10 because we didn't have to put an ounce of favor into it. So, once again, you unwittingly toss an assist our way while being a hindrance to your supposed ally. Great leadership!
