To show his appreciation, he blesses the builders of new cities with his divinity, accelerating their construction!

In our continued effort to deliver more diversity in our worlds and their settings, we will soon be releasing a batch of new 'special' worlds, which offer a unique play experience. In February, we will release new worlds with the Blessing of Hephaestus. But what's so special about these worlds? Read on to find out more...
Worlds which have the Blessing of Hephaestus expand on the existing mechanics which have long been a big part of Grepolis - founding a city! On these worlds, a newly established city has a chance to be more advanced than usual thanks to the Hephaestus blessing. Hephaestus can bless your cities with a simple blessing, blessing of harbors or blessing of farms and barracks. Each of these cities have different building levels when they're established, giving you a head start on specializing! The chances for each city type being created is as follows:
Simple city (40% chance)
Harbor city (30% chance)
Barracks city (30% chance)
Furthermore, the different game stages also follow different blessings, meaning as you progress, your newly founded cities will be stronger from the moment they are established. As a reminder, the table below shows how game stage is determined:
