No, the event will not require gold, but like all our events, (such as Grepolympia) there will be items that players can use gold on.

Of course not... That sounds logical as when you support a city with a mythical unit that doesn't come from the same god as the city's god, your support comes back; when you change your god, all your mythical units get killed.
