ghost cities and conquer/conquest

Hi,
after a lot i play newly with conquer server instead conquest.
So some things are reset from my old and holed memory.
I asked in ally but I obtained 2 different answers.
The question is this:
In conquer server mode a ghost (gray flag) village can be conquered using only the C-ship (and the troops logically with it) or I need also the conquer research at level #28 in academy?

Any help is appreciated

No conquest is necessary. Just clear it and land your CS.
Just beware of any sneaky people stacking your target

Hello friend, Icedraggon is correct. And for future reference, and to avoid confusion, the newer system is called Revolt. This may be why your alliance gave two different answers.
