Colony Ship

The current situation:
My city is being conquered right now, but I sent out a colony ship beforehand. My colony ship will land at the new location and begin founding a city before my current city is taken, but the foundation will not be completed until after the city is taken.
My questions:
Will the foundation cease if my city is taken? Will my colony ship just not be able to start the founding at all?

Damn sucks that your cities will be taken No you will restart and the founding will not take place

The foundation will cease the moment you are conquered. You will need to restart, you have the option of doing that I you are certain you cannot defend.

Oh well. I was planning on starting up again on Sigma anyway.

regular transport is 13 hrs. 3 vs. 32 of regular speed for the colony ship. This we can guarantee is going to be more than 48 hrs.

Is there a way to speed up your CS? Or is this conquer out of the question now?
