Not sure about best yet, but worst is easily Age of Gladiators. Every single time a new Grepolis world opens there is a mass invite alliance like this that reels in points but once people start building colony ships and stuff everyone realizes the mass invite alliances don't actually work well and then they die off fast. How do these alliances keep happening every time a new world opens? They NEVER work.

If any greek names,gladiators,trojans,warriors,conquest,etc. are in an alliance name then the alliance will fall sooner or later.
