Hi

Ive made a few attacks over the last couple of days but I do not seem to be getting any Battle Points. When is it that you actually gain BP?

Thanks

You gain BPs when you kill an enemy unit... Are you sure that you didn't only hit militia ?

Not as far as i know. I thought that you get BP when my own men were killed.

You gain battle points for killing enemy units in game, either as an attacker or a defender. The amount of battle points that you get is determined by the amount of population that you kill. For example, each LS takes 10 population to build, if you were to attack 10 LS with your own LS and kill them all you would gain 100 attacking battle points.

You also get battle points for killing enemy troops that are attacking your own, albeit the way the battle points are distributed is very different. When attacking you get battle points for everything you kill, however as a defender you may only receive a certain % of the battle points if there are other units defending your city. The formula for this isn't publicly released, therefore I'm unable to give you any figures as an example. Please note that this isn't the case when defending Ghost cities, you do not receive any battle points for this.

As a final example, if you have 100 Biremes in your harbor, that belong to you, and your enemy rather foolishly decided to send 100 unescorted transport ships at you, you will get all of the defensive battle points from the attack which would be 700 defensive battle points.

If you don't understand any of this or would like battle points explained in greater detail, please let me know. Best of luck in game.

Edit: Please note that you don't get any battle points for killing the enemies militia.

I have a question regarding battle points. I just took over an enemy city. The smart ones they are, are leaving all support that arrived after my CS, in the city. If I attack my own city, and hit their troops, do I get the ABP?

Yes you did...but I had to delete that post so I didn't double post(; Good job though:D

Is there a way of telling when a city is empty? I know it wasnt a ghost city but other than that I am not aware of any other way of knowing.

1. If you attack and there is no troops (no question mark too).
2. Spying.

My question still:

It's not possible for you to attack your own city. You can however have alliance members attack your city and kill the troops however you will only get a negligible amount of BP.

If a city is empty, you will get a report that looks a little like this:

There will be no troops on the defending side. However, if all of your troops die you will not be able to see the troops in the enemy city, and the defenders side will have images of two question marks. I hope all this makes sense, if not please let me know.
